Present: Jess Aptowitz, Greg Arnold, Jack Goldberg, Jim Lazzara, and Mike �5amsr'
Vice Chairman Lavin called the meeting to order at 7:15 P.M.
The current budget deficit as of today stands at approx 5.3 million dollars. It does not
appear from what we see that there is any current plan by either the municipal or school
side to make a first pass of cuts. Charlene will contact Eileen and ask for FINCOM to
have an agenda spot for the selectman's next meeting. Here we can discuss our current
concerns that the budget deficit is where it is and the selectman need to engage the both
sides of the budget in a round of budget cuts.
Jess will contact Bea as to how the CIP budget was handled as far as debt and how that
works into the current budget. Also, we want to find out how much is currently in
stabilization.
Mike has drafted a memo for the newspaper that we will all have a chance to review and
edit. We will copy the selectman, school committee, John Moretti and John D'Agostino
prior to releasing it to the newspapers.
