Finance Committee
April 7, 2005

Present: Jess Aptowitz, Jack Goldberg, Charlene Lavin, Jim Lazzara, and Mike Sams
Meeting opened at approximately 7:05 p.m.
Lee Azinheira spoke about the wastewater department as we held a discussion on the
merits of a sewer wastewater account. Lee did say that in his opinion, taxes are not
subsidizing the plant.
On a motion that was made and duly seconded it was voted 6 -0 to support Article 6 on
the annual town meeting warrant.
We discussed removing the consolidation article if we get a commitment from the
schools and selectman to look at consolidation.
Jess reported that the school's have included two separate warrant articles; one for 240K
which would be for modular classrooms and 350K for arch. Services for possible school
expansion. The school committee is meeting next Tuesday to discuss expansion and we
are invited.
John D'Agostino/Lou Amoruso were in attendance and told us that the current budget
stands at about a 3.5 million shortfall.
On a motion that was made and duly seconded it was voted to adjourn at 8:45 P.M.
