DECISIONS: Board approved minutes of January 23, 2002.
Board voted to support the maximum statutory exemption article at the
Annual Town Meeting.
Board approved abatement for 189 Union St. Ext.
Board approved abatement for 39 Pilgrim Rd.
Board approved abatement for 10 Stratton Rd.
NEW BUSINESS: Board discussed the Community Preservation Act.
An article wilt be presented at the Annual Town Meeting
to establish a committee.
OLD BUSINESS: Board revisited the abatement application for 390 West St.
(Paul Folkman excused himself).
Board requested a conference call with appraisal vendor next week to
discuss valuation.
Chairman, John McNair, suggested to fellow board members that if
"Mr. Karl Clemmey persists with harassing phone calls, threats, and
unannounced visits to Board Members' place of business, trying to
force a resolution to his request for abatement on his property at 390
West St., that the Chairman will go to Town Counsel and the Police
Chief for further legal action. Members of the Board or their families
should not be subjected to his rhetoric."
