WETLANDS PROTECTION ACT HEARING CONTINUATION - SE211 -272
Chauncy St. drainage project
Adjustments were made for seasonal water levels and changes; the
commission's concerns included peak flows backing up onto other individual's
properties. John Parmentier of Dunn Engineering indicated that water problems
on abutting properties should improve after the completion of this drainage
project. Residences of abuttors are elevated above proposed top of the
headwall, so water would flow across the street (Route 106). According to Mr.
Parmentier, the culvert ,under 106 will handle flows in pre- and
post- development situations. During construction the applicant may need a
pump discharge pit to prevent downstream siltation.
MOTION:. To close the hearing. (0'NEILL - OUELLETTE; all in favor) VOTED

Captain John Williams Estates
Information submitted by the applicant has been reviewed by Commissioner
Rhoads. All soils on site are not Type A, as has been maintained by the
applicant; although the input hydrographs are based on Type A soil, Type C
soils take up most of the site. The existing conditions have not been
represented with full accuracy, and runoff may be greater than shown in the
calculations submitted. The hearing was continued to Oct. 24 at 8:05.
