Chairperson Hation called the Meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
Meeting Minutes - March 23,1998:

Re: Bird Road and Homefield Farms Subdivision
Installation of water main from Bird Road to Homefield Drive with a
proposed wetland crossing and other associated work within the 100 foot
buffer zone.
Motion: [Cauldwell/Cook] to continue this Hearing until Monday, May 11, 1998, at 7:45 p.m. unless the Town
Meeting commences and if this should occur this will be continued on Monday, May 18, 1998, at 7:45

Construction of garage and associated grading work within 100 feet of a wetland resource
area.
The File number is SE211 -580. Mr. Cogswell was present and briefly discussed the proposed project.

8:15 P.M. VersaCare, Inc. -- Notice of Intent Hearing
Re: Lot 1, Branch Street
Construction of building and parking, with associated grading and drainage work, within
100 feet of a wetland resource area.
Ralph Maloon discussed the project. Mr. Maloon has infornnation which corresponds to the project and will make
it available to the Cotmnission at the next Hearing. Mr. Maloon will review test wells and provide information.
Discussion on adequacy of storm water basin - Jim Burke felt there should be a higher berm. Area residents raised
concerns with potential contamination.

8:35 p.m. B. Benjamin Cavallo -- Notice of Intent Hearing
Re: 2 Short Street, 8 Eugiiia Drive, 11 Euginia Drive and 430 Fruit Street
Construction of four individual houses with associated grading work tivitlun 100 feet
of a wetland resource area.
Ralph Maloon discussed the locations and the work to be done in order to build homes in the following areas: Lot
2 -- 430 Fruit Street -- This area is very wet and needs to be filled; Lot 3 -- 2 Short Street -- 40' from wetland and
it faces the other side of the street and that number was put on by the Fire Department: Lot 6 -- 8 Eugenia Drive;
and, Lot 7 -- 11 Eugenia Drive. There were abutters present who discussed their concern with the water flow that
would occur as a result of building the homes as well as the impact it may have on their land. Mr. Maloon also
reviewed the process that will be taken in the areas that will require filling. The file number has not be submitted
at this point.
Motion: [CauldwelUCook] to continue this Hearing until Monday, April 27, 1998, at 8:20 p.m

9:00 P.M. Stan Feck -- Request for Determination of Applicability
Re: Map 40, Parcel 115, Stearns Avenue
Review and Determination of wetland boundary per site plan.
The Conurussion will contact Carl Drown to do the site walk which involves reviewing the wetland boundary.
Motion: [CauldwelUCook] to meet at the Library at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 1998, to hold a site walk
and schedule a Hearing on Monday, May 18th.
(Jack Smith abstained.) Vote: 5 -0 -1
New Business
Route 140 & 495 Meeting: Chairperson Hanlon attended this meeting on March 30th. Campanelli Company
would like to meet with the Conservation Cormnussion and Mr. Flynn before the finalization of this matter takes
place. This will take place at 7:35 p.m. at the April 27th Conservation Cormnission meeting.
Resignation: James Burke submitted a letter of resignation as a member of the Conservation Commission and
stated that Dick Lewis could contact him to assist the Commission.
Neat Meeting: The Conservation Commission will meet on Monday, April 27, 1998 at 7:30 p.m.

A site walk has been set up for the Hutchinson Property -- expansion of playf elds; and, several new Hearings
scheduled for April 27, 1998.
