VISITORS 7:45PM Karl Clemmey: Also with Mr. Clemmey, Robert Barnes, employee. Mr. Clemmey expressed strong displeasure with the wording of the Health Agent's letter dated August 4, 1997, especially the fourth paragraph. Mr. Clemmey also feels that the Board violated state law and did not get the necessary storm water discharge permit and a permit to transport the batteries. He sent the letter to the Agent, assuming that the response would come from the Board of Health. He told the Board that the Agent called the police when he (Mr. Clemmey) was in his office on August 60. Agent responded that he called the police because Mr. Clemmey was extremely upset and that the Agent was concerned about Mr. Clemmey's hostile behavior. Both apologized for the incident. Chairman responded that he disagreed with Mr. Clemmey's position and believes that the contents of the letter were not as derisive and decisive as Mr. Clemmey believes. Mr. Clemmey handed a letter to the Chair to be read aloud. Chair read the letter. Last paragraph read as follows, "I truly believe that it would be in the best interest to retract the erroneous and inaccurate statements. I would expect a letter of reprimand be place in his file for this infraction". After lengthy discussion. MOTION: Not to place a letter of reprimand in Health Agent personnel file concerning this letter.
