d. Air Conditioning @ Six Park Row: Town Counsel asked for postponement of
hearing. Sound Engineer submitted report (copies given to Board), dated Sept.
30, 1997. The test was, unfortunately, conducted with one compressor active
because the air temperature was too low to activate second compressor. Engineer
told Agent that the sound barrier of wood around perimeter of air conditioning
unit serves no purpose to abate noise. Town is very concerned about the warranty
if this continues to next year. Hearing will be rescheduled for November 6, 1997.
Neighbors, selectmen, members MBC will be invited.

Selectmen asking status.

report. This report is about the closure of the site.

a. Town Hall Flooding: Member Forget asked if Board should be concerned.
Agent replied not a health issue. Odor is from glue under carpet.
b. Bacteria in Public Water: Foolish Hill tank has been cleaned. No sign of
br-teria.
c. Instrument Calibration Reports: Member Kowalczyk asked how often the
sound instruments at Great Woods are calibrated to ensure accurate sound
readings. Also suggested was to obtain noise bylaws from communities that have
venues. Board wants to be prepared for the renewal of the Great Woods license
when the Board of Selectmen starts their review.
d. Tobacco Control Update: Member Leonard will invite Karen Doucette, T.C.
Coordinator to next meeting for an update. Agent reported that Sarah Sabourin,
Mass. Tobacco Control, will not accept correspondence from Agent, only from
Chair of Board of Health. Letter will be retyped and signed by Chair.
