MINUTES
October 29, 1980
Present: Chairman Tartufo, Clerk Gasson, L. Diamond, Dr. Sohn.
K. Clemmey had advised the secretary he would not be present at the meeting.
Meeting called to order at 7:30 PM.
1. Clerk Casson read the following correspondence:
Received from the Department of Environmental Quality Engineering copy of
letter to the Torn Engineer regarding the Sanitary Landfill. It was noted
a portion of the previous day's refuse had been compacted but left exposed
overnight. They advised that all refuse which is accepted at the landfill
must be covered by a minimum of six (6) inches of uniformly compacted cover
material as required.
Received from the Torn Manager forms for the 1981 Budget which should be
submitted by November 19, 1980.
Received from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Public Health
letter regarding Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program with Mansfield's
number for the data system.
Received from the Massachusetts Audubon Society notice of two conferences to
be held: NOVEMBER 1 Pesticide Conference and NOVEMBER 24 Aerial Application
of Toxic Chemicals.
Received from the Attleboro Area Council for Children copy of Children's
Activist.
Received from the Board of Selectmen notice of Bi- monthly meeting to be held
November 5, 1980.
Received from the Torn Engineer copy of Memo to the Planning Board regarding
Preliminary Subdivision Plan, Balcom Street, Brown. There were seven items
noted in the memo.
Received from the Southeastern Massachusetts Association of Boards of Health
notice of fall meeting to be held November 19, 1980.
Received letter from Dave Ahern, Plant Engineer, Datel Intersil regarding the
report received from the Board requesting the water results taken from the well
which is located on the North East side of Datel Intersil's property.
Motion: To send a letter to Datel Intersil advising that the water is not
acceptable for drinking or domestic purposes and request they advise the Board
for what purposes they will be using the water.

Received price list from City & Town Forms Inc for Municipal and Legal
forms.
Received two report forms for two individuals for enteric culture testing.
Received report of case of salmonella.
Received notice of syphilis.
Received interagency referral form Middlesex Tuberculosis Clinic of TB testing.
Received receipt of Certified Mail for Gilbert Olden, 50 Otis Street, Mansfield.
Received from the Conservation Commission letter to Robert Morrison of the Water
Department regarding Vinyl Coated AC Pipe Survey.
Received from the Conservation Commission copy of Certificate of Compliance for
227 Franklin Street.
Received from the Conservation Commission minutes of October 6, 1980.
Received from the Planning Board minutes of October 8, September 11 and 17.
Letter was received from Simor Corporation of Norfolk requesting an extension
of the Board of Health permit for property located on Lot Jp4 - Eric Road.
Secretary will pull the file on this.
Motion: To table until information is available for the next meeting.

Bill was received from Swartz Office Supply for two Royal Ribbons in the amount
of $4.95.
Motion: To pay.

Received from Attleboro Area Counseling Center bill for the quarterly payment
for October, November and December in the amount of $1,350.00
Motion: To pay.

2. Minutes of October 15, 1980.
Motion: To accept the minutes as written.
(L. Diamond -E. Tartufo, two in favor. F. Gasson -Dr. Sohn abstained.
3. Town Engineer
The Tovm Engineer was not present because of illness.
\ Plan for sewage disposal for 47 Tanya Drive, Home Developers. The complete file
was with the plan. questions were raised regarding the soil examination and if

the perc test had been approved
Motion: To table.
(F. Gasson -no second.
Town Engineer reccommended approval.
Motion: To approve the soil examination for 47 Tanya Drive, Home Developers.
(L. Diamond -Dr. Sohn, three in favor. F. Casson opposed.
Motion: To approve the sewage disposal plan for 47 Tanya Drive, Home Developers
as recommended by the Town Engineer.

4. Visitor's Agenda
Tony Caponigro met with the Board regarding his sewage disposal plan for
60 Gilbert Street. The Town Engineer had not reviewed the plan.
Motion: To tentatively approve the sewage disposal plan for 60 Gilbert Street,
subject to the Town Engineer reviewing the plan. After approval of the Town
Engineer the Chairman will have permission to sign the plan.

5. Old Business
Discussion was held on the Lively property. Secretary will check with Nancy
Roncetti regarding Mr. Commodore going on the property at 575 Ware Street when
it is condemned.
Secretary will check with Civil Defense regarding a follow -up chokesaver course.
Secretary will check with the Town Clerk's Office to determine if O'D's Express
has been issued a Food Service License.
6. Adjournment
Motion: To adjourn.
