The Town Engineer felt it might be beat if the houses in that area be required to increase the size of their septic tanks from 1500 gallons to 2000 gallons which would keep the retaining time in that area as long as possible, as he felt there would never be sewer in that area. Also the Town Engineer felt subdrains should be installed in the street, as the drains come under the Board of llealth jurisdiction. It was also noted there is a new system for drainage that comes under the jurisdiction of the Board. Town Engineer will contact the state to receive more information on the new system for drainage and advise the Board. Town Engineer also felt a maintenance system should be instituted for cesspools. lie also advised that the Board can supercede State reguirments. Regarding the increase in size in the septic tanks in that area if the Board feels there is a problem they are within their rights to 'do it, without asking the State.
