"Upon receipt of your letter, we got rid of vehicles that were of no use to anyone. There are no unregistered vehicles around my house, with the exception of a 1931 Model A. Ford located to the rear..... which I am in the process of restoring,... and a classic Mustang that my son has 'For Sale'. I am a member of the 'South Shore Antique Auto Club'. We have Antiques and classics stored out of sight and inside where they are not in the view of abbutters or the public. The cars that are parked in my side lot are all registered and in use almost daily. Through these efforts, and my continued policing, I am cooperating with your request, therefor I should not be requested to appear in court." Ed Rosenberg proceeded to explain to Mr.. Wilcox that if the cars are kept for over a certain period of time, the seals begin to give away and fluids leak out causing a Health Hazard. Ed Tartufo also assured Mr. Wilcox that he was not the only one to appear before the Board regarding Junk Cars. The Board of Selectmen told the Board that the Junk Cars' Law should be enforced, and that many letters go out during the week The Board agreed to drop the court charges. He complained about the noise and pollution caused from people swimming in Cabot Pond. Mr. Landry wanted to know why there was swimming in Cabot Pond, where there is fish dying, but no swimming in Fulton's Pond. Mr. Landry would like a sign put up stating "no swimming" in Cabot Pond.
