Present: Chairman Tartufo, Louis Diamond, Frank Zarek, and Health Agent,
Karl S. Drown
Meeting called to order at 7:35 p.m.
Motion: to appoint Louis Diamond as acting clerk for the October 17, 1984
Board of Health meeting.

CORRESPONDENCE
A bill from the Community Health Agency to the Mansfield Board of Health
as per contract for services for the month of October in the total of
$1016.67.
Motion: to pay Community Health Agency $1016.67 as per contract for ser-
vices for the month of October.

A letter from the Department of Enviromental Quality Engineering to the
Mansfield Board of Health regarding the adoption of new groundwater regula-
tions, 314 CMR 5.00, requiring all septage disposal facilities to make an
applicaiton for a Groundwater Discharge Permit.
Dated October 16, 1994
A newsletter from the Massachusetts Association of Health Boards, Inc. to
the Mansfield Board of Health regarding notes from the Third Annual meeting
of the Massachusetts Association of the Health Boards.
A newsletter from the Department of Public Health to the Mansfield Board of
Health regarding the Southeastern Regional Workshop which will begin on
Thursday, October 25, 1984 in the first floor Conference Room of the Human
Services Building. Dated October 5, 1984
The Board reviewed the budget report statement for the month of September,
1984. The Board also reviewed payroll sheets for the month of September
and October, 1984.

NEW BUSINESS
The Board held a discussion regarding a warrant granted to an individual
due to a septic system failure.
The Board discussed the situation pertaining to the lack of efficiency of
Compo Chemicals in presenting the Mansfield Board of Health with the results
of testing which should be done every six months. The members of the Board
would like the Health Agent to contact Compo to set up an appointment with
Compo for the next Board of Health meeting.
OLD BUSINESS
The Board discussed the events pertaining to the Curvin - Pig Case. Mr. Curvin
was expected to appear in court on October 9, 1984.
