VOTED Board of Health Page 2 October 8, 1986 5. Visitors Oscar H. Klenert, P.E., KSW Engineering, Inc., 1629 Central Street, Stoughton 02072, came before the Board with two requests: That the groundwater level be set at 136 rather than 137 as previously voted by the Board on September 10, 1986; and 2. that the capacity of the septic tank be reduced from 200 gallons to 165 gallons per day. Mr. Klenert is designing the system for Building 9, Lot I and Building 9, Lot 2, Erick Road (Bristol Arms, Malcolm Post). He stated that the area is relatively flat, with groundwater elevations at 137, 134, 134.5 and 135.7. Using a 136 watertable level will still comply with Title V requirements and the Town's more stringent codes. He wants to deviate from a 200 to '165 gallons /day tank because there is not enough space and he may encroach on the adjacent wetland. Chairman Tartufo responded that the watertable readings were taken in August and that the Board has already dropped 6 inches. Mr. Klenert stated that the building foundation is 143.5 and the elevations range from 140.30 to 135.60. A tremendous mound would have to be built and he feels that is not feasible. Donald Steele stated that groundwater elevations are the primary concern of the Board - -and not the convenience of installing a system. MOTION: To table any action. Peter Fontanini /Donald Steele. All in favor. VOTED Chairman Tartufo told Mr. Klenert that if he can set the system at 137, he may proceed. If he wishes he may also design two systems - -one with a 200 gallon /day tank and one with a 165 gallon /day tank. Health Agent stated that he has no problem with a 165 gallon tank. Mr. Klenert will attend next meeting on October 22, 1986. 6.
