4. VISITORS
At 8:00 p.m. the Board met with Roger Wilcox, 200 Balcom St., to discuss the
unusually large number of cars parked on his property. Board's concern is the
dripping of fluids, i.e., oil, transmission fluid, gas, etc., on the ground,
into the groundwater. Mr. Wilcox said that some are part of his hobby and some
are abandoned. There are 9 registered vehicles, 3 registered trailers, and
25 vehicles unregistered. He is a member of the South Shore Antique Auto Club.
Board advised Mr. Wilcox to attempt in every way to safely drain these fluids
and dispose of them so as not to adversely affect the groundwater. Board has
accepted the vehicles as a hobby and will send a letter to that effect.
5. HEALTH AGENT'S REPORT
Health Agent presented a computer copy of the revised Soil Examination Report,
filed by address; compiling info will be easier with the computer.
Members commented that they haven't seen proposed subdivision plans, that in the
past have been distributed to various boards and committees. Board of Health
will usually make a comment on the proposal. Health Agent will talk with Planning
Director.
The new "No Smoking Law" takes into account that a restaurant with seating of 75 or
more must set aside a "no smoking" section.
