6. OLD BUSINESS
Chairman Rosenberg and Member Steele, on March 26, 1989, tracked down a shellac -
type odor at the Clemmey Tank Co., off Howe Street, in line to the Tahana Rest-
aurant. There was no wind to speak of, very slight NNW; no odor at this time at
Hathaway- Patterson or Blane Chemical. Cleveland Twist to Clemmey Tank - -very
strong. Odor is not the same as the first odor from Hathaway- Patterson. No
reports as Police Dept. Agent remarked that there have been no recent complaints
to the Office re: any odor.
Clerk VanSplinter asked if the other two buildings at 171 Ware St. would tie
into the new septic system proposed. Response from Agent was yes.
Lime injection program is not shut down and will continue according to Mr. St.
Hilaire, Water /Sewer Dept.
Health Agent will ask Water Dept. for copies of water quality reports for the
town wells.
7. NEW BUSINESS
Member Steele felt that since the Town is growing at a steady pace, and each year
the Town is faces with budget constraints, it might behoove the Health Agent to
begin a "time management program "; i.e., attempt to document in reverse his time
spent on various duties.
A memo will be sent to the Selectmen requesting any info and plans for the closure
of the landfill.
Clerk VanSplinter mentioned that the Solid Waste Committee is considering a
leaf and grass cuttings compost at the old landfill on Fruit St.
