4. VISITORS
Dave Hanlon of 55 Creeden Street, Mansfield presented the Board with
several photos showing the dumpsters behind his house overflowing, and
requested that something be done about this problem.
After discussion among the Board, the following motion was made:
MOTION: To notify the owners of the dumpsters that they are in violation
of the dumpster regulations; ie. not having the dumpsters fenced
in and not emptying them on a regular basis.
(VanSplinter- Steele) All in favor. VOTED.
5. HEALTH AGENT'S REPORT
Health Agent reported that the work on 171 Ware Street is progressing
rapidly and should be completed by August 18, 1989. While the work
was not completed by the August 15 deadline, it was so far advanced that
the Agent did not believe the eviction notices should be served.
Member Steele expressed concern that the decision of the Board to evict
if the work was not complete by August 15 should have been enforced.
Agent reported receiving a copy of the plans for the new Elementary
School Complex, but that they did not include any Board of Health issues
at this time.
2.
Agent reported that the Great Woods Noise Surveys should be ready
for random distribution on August 21 or 22.
Agent reported on case of an As -Built that had been approved in 1985
and was then revised. The revision was not reviewed by this office.
The septic system was built according to the revised plan, which is
in accordance with all regulations, and the owner is suing the devel-
oper because he is getting water in his cellar, using the argument that
the system does not comply. Health Agent will send a letter to DEQE
explaining the situation.
6. NE14 BUSINESS
Member VanSplinter reported that the Solid Waste Committee's Interim
Report has been completed, and that the Committee will be submitting
it to the Board of Selectmen and appearing at the first Selectmen's
meeting in September to explain the report.
Chairman Rosenberg suggested that the dumpster regulations be re-
written to include fees and non - criminal disposition in order to
force the owners to follow the regulations.
Health Agent will note any non - conformance he sees in order to find
out the extent of the problem.
7. OLD BUSINESS
Chairman Rosenberg reported that he had been to Great Woods that week
and noticed that the food preparation areas had not made the changes
suggested by Health Agent during his last inspection.
