Shell Oil, 54 Chauncy St: Member Kowalcyzk looked at the Lincoln Environmental, `Thase I Initial Site Investigation Report". Quick perusal showed that the 1,100 gal. leak occurred in the early 80's. They were old tanks. He will review it and report back to the Board. d. HEMS Meeting with School & Police: Superintendent, Middle School Principle, two High School Reps, Chief O'Neill, Ms. Scozzafava, Health Agent, Members Leonard and Forget were all present. Dare Officer is not interested in the compliance check program, especially driving the kids from store to store. Principals will bring up using Mansfield kids for compliance checks at their next Leadership Team meeting on April 4th. Agent expressed concern with using kids and eventually needing them to testify in court; it could be a problem using minors. He suggested that adults accompany the kids and witness the violation so that the adult can testify. He also feels that random checks are more effective then routine ones. Member Leonard suggested that Agent speak with Clerk Magistrate to see what their feeling is if these violators are brought to court. We must go in with a solid, well- documented case. 7. New Business a. Compo, Branch St.: Member Kowalczyk asked for the schedule to bring the system back on line for the Compo Chemical cleanup. Agent commented that the extraction process may have temporarily stopped due to high groundwater. 8. Adjournment MOTION: To adjourn at 9:00 PM. Forget/Leonard. All in favor.
