Marguerite Brothers, Executive Director of Mansfield Housing Authority,

The Board was asked to support the application and that there is a need
for low income housing in Mansfield. Both Marguerite Brothers and Kevin
Hayes, Chairman of the Fair Housing Committee were present.
Marguerite Brothers said the 707 rental assistance program is small in
Mansfield; Mansfield has never had the Section 8 program which provides
subsidy to landlords; it requires the support of the governing board as
the first step. Kevin Hayes said he feels this is just what his commit-
tee is looking for.

8. Old Business
a) The Chairman commented that Anderson - Nichols' Water Quality Study report
had been distributed to each Selectman; it asked that they study it and
the Board then ask Anderson - Nichols to come in for discussion, saying
he felt it should be done quickly because the expense of their recom-

to prioritize funding. The Town Manager said he would like Susan Donovan
