6. Old Business
a) The Town Manager had given copies of the Policemen's Contract and the
Firefighters Contract to each member of the Board. It was decided to
discuss them next week when a full Board is present.
b) Selectman Levine brought up a concern that the plans approved by the
Board on May 16, 1984, for the Old Colony Way and North Main Street
Improvements did not include some pertinent facts when the plans were
presented to the Board. She had copies of the Board of Selectmen's
Minutes of that meeting, as well as the Minutes of the Planning Board
covering the same topic which, she feels, do not agree. She had learned
that there was a possibility of 2 or 3 more parking spaces in the Com-
mon area and felt this could not be accomplished if the plans the Board
had approved were "final plans "; that no further changes could be made.
* MOTION: To reconsider the vote of May 16, 1984.
Levine /McNair
Selectman D'Onofrio felt that the Board is required to approve the plans
in order to receive the grant and to change the vote might jeopardize
the grant funds. The Town Manager explained there is a possibility of
adding two additional parking spaces, but without changing any curb
cuts, etc. Selectman Levine withdrew her motion.
* MOTION: To direct the Town Manager and Town Engineer to recheck all
viable parking spaces that may be found within that area.
