Chadwick Maurer, Jr. Selectman Levine arrived late. Board recommendations on the 1983 Annual Town Meeting articles. Recommendations are shown as a concensus unless a formal vote is noted. Article 2 - favorable action. Article 3 - favorable action. Article 4 - favorable action for $217,000 as an in lieu of tax payment. Article 5 - withdrawn. * Article 6 - MOTION: To withdraw. Wills /McNair VOTED: 5 -0. Articles 7, 8 & 9 are the operating budget for the water, sewer and municipal department. No formal action was taken at this meeting. * Article 12 - MOTION: To withdraw. D'Onofrio /Wills VOTED: 5 -0. Article 13 - Fire Chief to make recommendation on reserve fund. Article 14 - $2,000 to be appropriated for the World War II Scholarship Fund. Article 15 - High school fire damage to be referred to the School Committee. Article 16 - favorable action. * Article 17 - MOTION: To withdraw. Wills /Dunn VOTED: 5 -0. * Article 18 - MOTION: To recommend against the Article for the charter amendment for the establishing of a separate municipal electric commission. Wills /D'Onofrio VOTED: 5 -0. Article 19 - hold for recommendation prior to town meeting. Article 20 - favorable action. Article 21 - favorable action. * Article 22 - MOTION: To approve $11,139.60 for the conservation land acquisition fund. McNair /Levine VOTED: 3 -1 Wills opposed. D'Onofrio abstained. Article 23 - hold for definitive listing of town clerk fees. * Article 24 - MOTION: To withdraw. D'Onofrio /Wills VOTED: 5 -0. Article 24 - favorable action. Article 26 - hold for additional information from the Fire Chief. Article 27 - hold for additional information from the Fire Chief. Article 28 - favorable action. Article 29 - favorable action. * Article 30 - MOTION: Favorable action. Levine /Dunn VOTED: 2 -2 D'Onofrio/ Wills opposed. McNair abstained. * MOTION: For unfavorable action. Articles 35, 36, 37 relate to the high school roof. Hold for additional information from the school committee. Article 38 - safety recommendations for Middle School. Hold for recommendation from the school committee. Article 46 & 50 are waiting for formal report from Planning Board on street acceptances for Plantingfield Road and Heather Lane. Article 58 hold for additional information from the petitioner Wayne Peterson, 48 Lakeview Ave. * Article 60 - MOTION: To recommend against. McNair /Levine VOTED: 3 -0 Wills abstained. * MOTION: To go into executive session to discuss collective bargaining. Wills /Levine POLLED: 5 -0.
