Tom Manager's Report
Discussion was on the Summary of Referendum Question #1. Board felt
that some of the wording should be changed so that the voters will know
exactly what the question is about and why it is to be put on the ballot.
After much discussion, the following vote was taken.
* MOTION: To accept Summary of Question 1 with the following
changes. To eliminate "The exemptions will insure a lower
interest rate on the bonds as they are sold because they
will be backed up by tazation, which makes the bonds
easier to sell." and to add the following to the last
sentence, "...only if the voters at the Town Meeting choose
to spend the $250,000." Colella /Levine VOTED: 3 -2

on High Street regarding water main on that street. He asked why the
work was changed from High Street to West Church. Town Manager noted
that they have problems with both streets, but W. Church was on the
priority list for bridge repair work so they would put the water main
on W. Church first. He mentioned that the water main is put in, the
Town will replace water main on High Street up to the bridge. This
project is on hold because of Farmers Home.
He also asked if a new barrel could be put in front of Sannie's.
Doesn't look too good having a barrel on Main Street. Selectman Mahana

on conflict of interest. He also supports all other people in the same
position as this law removes the right of people to choose who they desire
as officials. He asked about the stop sign at Old Colony Way & N. Main
