Emergency meeting called to order at 1:10 P.M.
Members present: Chairman Woodl.ock, Selectmen 7,echer., Saunders and Clemmey
Robert W. Rtimes, 381 South Main Street, Mansfield appeared before the Board
to request permission to move four (4) houses over Mansfield Streets as
follows: From 561 West Street. to Lot #2 F.lm Street; from 683 West Street
to Lot #1 School Street; from 723 West Street to Lot #2 School Street and
from 606 West Street to Lot #l. Elm Street,
Upon a motion by Selectman Saunders, seconded by Selectman 7.echer it was
voted to grant a permit to move the four (4) houses over Mansfield Streets,
subject to the Blectr,i.c Light. Denartment rates for clearing lines.
D,i.scussi,on held on the resignation of Robert Cunningham as Town Counsel
tabled from the December 30, 1.969 meeting of the Board,
Upon a motion by Selectman Saunders, seconded by Selectman Clemmey it was
voted unanimously ( the Chairman voting) to accept the resignation of
Robert Cunningham as Town Counsel, and that a letter of appreciation be
sent to }dim for His services,
A discussion was held on the request for a special audit of town accounts
by the Department of Corporations and Taxation, Bureau of Accounts. Two
letters were read, one from Arthur. MacKinnon, Director of Accounts, and
the other an enclosed copy of a letter from Selectman 7,echer to Arthur
MacKinnon, regarding a request for a special. audit of the town accounts,
The Board decided to await the appointment of a Town Counsel. before further
pursuance of this special. audit,
The meeting adjourned at 2:05 P.M.
