Selectman Colella thought there should be full traffic signals at that corner. Discussed taking traffic counts at that location, and if lights are put up the town will have to pay for them. Also discussed Eastman Street and Route 106 and C.C. &,F. The Chairman suggested that the Board request help from Representative Ames to help,,the Board in their problems at these location5might be able to get help from the State. 2 The Town Manager advised that approval had been received from the State for the one -side parking on North Main Street, and it will be enforced next Tuesday. There is one stipulation that 10 minute parking be allowed at the Post Office. He hoped the townspeople will bear with the Board and give it an honest and fair trial. Selectman Levine advised that the people should be advised where there is municipal parking and how they can get to the areas. There will be parking on Old Colony Way, public parking lot side of the New England Secuti.ty office, and new parking space at North Main Street. The Board discussed the underground service costs as previously presented by Superintendent Ferrier because of the new subdivision regulations requiring underground services. Several Board members were concerned that the under- ground regulations might unduly increase town expenses for utility installations in new subdivisions. Selectman Levine advised that subdivision regulations are here if we like it or dislike it. The utilities should be underground, will pay off in the long run, better looking homes and better value, but did not want the Light Department footing the bills. After the discussion a motion was made by Selectman Caponigro to request the Town Manager to ask Mr. Ferrier to come up`wwith,,alternative bests, and to wait one more week to act on the underground `service costs for subdivisions, which was seconded by Selectman Colella, and it was so voted.
