Minutes of the Meeting
May 9, 1979
Present: Selectman Robert M. DeLong, Lyman C. Avery, Frank Colella,
and Norman Mahana. Town Manager William P. Metropulos.
The meeting was called to order at 7:15 p.m. at the Mansfield High
School'Auditorium.
A request was noted from Robert Bolton of the Mansfield YouthhHockey
to hold a carnival at the field adjacent to the little league field
near the Robinson School from May 14 to May 19, 1979. This has already
been approved by the School Committee and the Fire Department, the
Building Inspector will inspect the site when the equipment has been
put up.
Selectmen approved the request on a motion by Selectman Mahana, seconded
* by Selectman Colella. Voted 4 -0. (Selectman Caponigro not present)
A Common Victualer's License was applied for by the Youth Hockey Association
for their carnival, May 14 through May 19, 1979. This was approved on a
* motion by Selectman Mahana, seconded by Selectman Colella. Voted 4 -0.
A 1 -Day Common Victualer's License was applied for by the Natural Resource
Commission for the Conservation Commission to be held at the South Common
on Saturday, May 12, 1979. This was approved on a motion by Selectman
* Mahana, seconded by Selectman Colella. Voted 4 -0 (Fee waived)
The weekly Warrant in the amount of $598,088.13 was noted. This was
approved on a motion by Selectman Mahana, seconded by Selectman Colella.
* Voted 4 -0.
The Town Manager noted a letter from MMWEC. A tour of the Seabrook Project
in Seabrook, N.H. is being held on Friday, May 18, 1979, anyone wishing to
go is invited.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Selectman Mahana at 7:20 p.m.
* seconded by Selectman Colella. Voted 4 -0.
