Re: Pending Items
1. Bid Award for Uniforms
We have received proposals for a three year contract to provide
uniforms and laundry service for the production employees. I
recommend that we accept the lowest priced proposal from Servisco.
2. Bid Awards
We have received bids to construct the two ductline crossings
of Main Street. I recommend we accept the low bidder L.A.L.
Construction Company of Fall River.
3. Light Department Advisory Committee
The Commissioners would like to define the function of the
Advisory Committee.
4. Public Power Preference Rights
The investor owned utilities are lobbying at the national level
to eliminate the public power preference rights to hydro power.
The American Public Power Association has requested that we
pass a resolution and forward to to our legislators indicating
that it would not be in our best interest to support this
legislation.
