MEMORANDUM
TOWN OF MANSFIELD
MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT
MANSFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS 02048
To: Light Commission
From: John H. Larch, Manager
Re: Pending Items Report
1. Seabrook Construction Costs
Representatives of MMWEC will attend the meeting to explain
why we should amend our Power Sales Agreements to allow
for the payment of Seabrook Construction costs on a pay as
you go basis..
2. Bid Award - Wooden Poles
I recommend we accept Southern Wood Piedmont's alternate bid.
By purchasing two full truckloads (77 poles instead of 55),
we can reduce the unit price by 9% on the 35' poles and 8%
on the 40' poles.
3. Financial Reports
Allan Jones will review the financial reports for the first
six months of 1985.
4. Holiday Decorations
Commissioner Mahana would like to discuss forming a new
Holiday Decorating Committee.
5. Good Neighbor Fund
A number of Massachusetts utilities have joined with the
Salvation Army to create the Good Neighbor Fund. We might
want to join with them.
6. Commercial Audit Program
The state legislature, in its infinite wisdom, has forced
( another energy conservation program upon us. The only way that
I can find to comply with the law is to have MassSave conduct
audits for us.
