Meeting called to order at 7:25 p.m.
MOTION: To approve minutes of February 4, 1991

NOTE: Amos Robinson arrived at 7:38 p.m.
1991 OPERATING BUDGET
The proposed 1991 budget was discussed and the following recommendations /suggestions
were discussed.
A) The plant personnel will be instructed to begin renewal negotiations
as soon as possible.
B) $3,000 training expense was eliminated from office expenses.
C) Oil costs for plant expense will be reduced. This figure will
be provided by the Town Manager.
D) The Manager will investigate various waste removal prices to ensure
we are getting the best price.
E) The Manager will investigate the feasibility of providing clothing
and cleaning allowances rather than uniform rentals.
F) Fuel costs will be decreased, this figure will also be provided
by the Town Manager.
G) The Manager will ensure that we are using the state bid price for
tires if in fact there is a state bid price on tires.
H) Donations - This figure will be eliminated since we are already
reporting the labor in.our payroll figure.
I) Town Accountant Salary - The Manager recommended this figure be
decreased from $34,000 to $7,500 since the Town Accountant no longer
keeps a separate set of books for the Electric Department. Light
Commissioners will look into this.
J) Jobbing - The Board requested the Manager to look into jobbing
charges to ensure we are making not losing money.
The Manager was instructed to cut his budget by 127 and submit these revisions
at the March 7th meeting.
