This loss was attributed in part to the increase in Seabrook costs as well as the very mild winter we experienced. Mr. Beardsley also advised the Board that the Electric Department was in desperate need of a new computer accounting system. He stated that currently we basically use a manual system and then journalize entries into a very complex inefficient computer system which doesn't produce timely, accurate or useful reports.
