Dear Members of the Board;
I am asking your approval for a benefit road race /walk to
be held in Mansfield. The race is planned to take place
on Saturday, June 6, 1992 at 10;00 a.m. beginning at the
Qualters Middle School.
This race will benefit Mike Burns, age 12, who is
diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer. Mike is also
one of my D.A.R.E. students.
The run /walk route begins at Q.M.S. proceeding to East
Street, right on Ware Street to Branch Street, continuing
up Branch Street back onto East Street ending at Q.M.S.
Traffic officers and E.M.T.'s will be on sight for public
safety.
All proceeds will be given to the Burns family. This
event is worthy of your support and I also challenge the
Board to take part in this event.
