Bid Award - Heavy Duty Reel Trailer
The Manager advised the Board that we currently have a single reel
trailer which is about 7 years old. We went to bid for a heavy
duty double reel trailer. The Manager advised the Board that three
bids were received; one from Sauber, one from Ace and a no bid from
Wagner. The Manager recommended we award the bid to the high
bidder which was Sauber. The Manager recommended we award this bid
to Sauber because they are a reputable manufacturer who stocks this
item; whereas Ace which was a lower bidder actually builds the reel
trailer to specification.
MOTION: To award the bid for the purchase of a Heavy Duty Reel
Trailer to Sauber Manufacturing at a price of $13,592.

NON UNION EMPLOYEE WAGE INCREASES
The Manager asked the Board what direction he should take in
relation to non union employee wage increases. Since we are not
covered by a contract, the Manager wanted to know how the Board
wanted him to proceed in relation to this matter. Commissioner
Pasquale said that he would like John to propose a range of
salaries for each job description at the Electric Department. Then
based on yearly reviews, propose a percentage to be alloted within
the department. The Manager agreed to provide the Board with this
information at the next scheduled meeting.
Internal Fund Charges /Transfers FY 1992
The Manager advised the Board that Bill Williams submitted a bill
to the Electric Department totaling $610,590. However, the
Electric Department's budget was approved by the Board with a
figure for internal funds transfer of $494,175.
A discussion ensued and the Board instructed the Manager to request
a line item breakdown of the charges billed.
