Minutes of Meeting
March 6, 1995
PRESENT: Chairman Penney, Commissioners Ronald, Royle, Pasquale and
Robinson were present.
Meeting called to order at 7:15 pm
MOTION: To approve minutes of February 6, 1995
Royle/Ronald Vote 3 - 0*
Commissioners Pasquale and Robinson abstained.
Pik i 12 Truck Bid Award
Three bids were received. The Manager recommended that the bid be awarded to Liberty
Chevrolet at the lowest bid price of $12,979.00. A discussion followed relative to
awarding the bid to the local company. However, the Manager informed the Board that
the warranty and service of this truck will actually be done at the local company, but that
the local company was the highest bid of the three companies bidding.
MOTION: To award the pick up truck bid to Liberty Chevrolet at a bid price of
$12,979.00 as the lowest responsible bidder.
Royle/Robinson Vote 5 - 0
The intent of the exemption of the developers connection charge was to protect the
developer from having to absorb the cost of the charge after he had committed to a sale
price with the home owner.
MOTION: To instruct the Light Department Manager to stop granting waivers of the
developers connection fee. under any circumstances effective April 1,
1995.
Ronald/Pasquale Vote 5 - 0
The Manager informed the Board that his goal was to get our commercial/industrial rates
comparable to Mass Electric and he feels that this will be accomplished with the Rate
Study which is estimated to be ready in mid -May. The Manager advised that Board that
once the new rates were established we would have to hold a public hearing to implement
these new rates.
The Manager advised the Board that the 40% off Energy Savings Product Sale was ready
and would be advertised two weeks prior to the April 10th town meeting.
MOTION: To adjourn at 8:52 pm
