Minutes of Meeting
August 28, 1996
PRESENT: Chairman Robinson, Commissioners Colella, Madan, Mahana and
Pasquale.
Meeting called to order at 7:30pm
MMWEC STRANDED INVESTMENT COST
Mr. John Boudreau and Mr. John Wesolowski from MMWEC gave a presentation on the
future of competition in the electric utility industry. They also explained how the
Mansfield Municipal Electric Department could position itself financially to be
competitive in the future by accumulating 16 1/2 million dollars over the next ten years.
The Manager showed how this could be accomplished by using the funds that we already
have on hand and with three 2 1/2 % rate increases annually beginning in April, 1997.
MOTION: To meet next Wednesday, September 4, 1996 prior to the Selectmen's
Meeting

*Commissioner Pasquale abstained
MOTION: To adjourn at 8:45 pm
