The applicant stated that a mistake had been made when
staking out the property, which resulted in the side yard
coming an inch short of the setback requirement. Mrs.
Cotton relayed a message to the Board, delivered to her this
day by Richard Maloon of Rim Engineering, that Rim wished it
stated for the record that they prepared the plan for this
home but did not stake the foundation.
Andrea Bonda, an abutter at 578 Maple Street, stated that
there are three other homes built by this builder that would
seem to be affected by this same problem and wanted to know
if they would need to come before the ZBA for a variance.
Mrs. Cotton responded that they would.
Mr. Butler made a motion, seconded by Mr. Secher, to grant a
variance to Mr. Peterson. Unanimously agreed.
A discussion took place regarding the appropriateness of
having decisions signed outside of meeting times and /or
having applicants hand -carry documents to individual
members' homes or places of business. It was unanimously
agreed that unless there are extreme and /or extenuating
circumstances that no applicant be given special treatment
in the form of accelerated expediting of the decision. And
in those extreme circumstances, all documents will be left
at the police station to be signed by Board members.
It was unanimously agreed that, since there are no scheduled
hearings for the June 18 meeting, the meeting should be
cancelled. Debra will notify the Town Clerk.
Debra initiated a disussion regarding her yearly raise,
asking for a $.90 /hr. increase. Mr. Butler made a motion,
