at 440 East Street with
the R2 Zone. The hearing
Chairman Wojtkiewicz read a letter into the record from
Attorney Robert Mangiaratti regarding the status of the
paper street known as Church Street extension. This paper
street, which cuts through the two lots on which the
proposed dwelling would be built, is the reason the
Barrowses are seeking a variance. Mr. Fred Barrows,
speaking also for his brother, asked the Board for
clarification on the attorney's letter, as well as an
opinion on how the two lots could best be used. He also
presented the Board with several new sets of plans, one
showing land that could be purchased from an abutter.
After examining the new sets of plans and questioning the
applicant, Board members felt that it was not clear that the
applicant knew what he wished to do with the land and
therefore, they did not want to vote on the application
until his intentions were presented more definitively. The
applicant agreed to return on July 17 with the one set of
plans that represents his proposed use of the property.
The decision on the application of John Todesco for a
variance for property located at 42 Branch Street will be
made at the July 17 meeting.
Bills and Decisions were signed. It was voted to refund the
$100 application fee to Barbara Medeiros of 28 Henry Street,
Mansfield, because she withdrew her variance application
after ascertaining that she did not need a variance.
