MINUTES
JANUARY 16, 1V90
The Board of Appeals, held its reyular, meeting in the Town
Hall, Mansfield, MA at 7"45 P.M. Present at the bearing were
thc following members. Gcurge H^ �ojtkiewicz� Chairman'
Edward W. Valanzola, Clerk; Eric E. But\er; Dr. Stanley Sohn;
M=ry LOU Cotton; Peter DeTrolio, Member,- and
Richard 5echer` 0*sociatc Member.
There were no schednlecl hearings"

variance application denied by the Zoning Board re nurc:on,
ln�, d/b/n/ Durbano Construc�ion for- a lot on West C�urch
street. Mr. Coot 1ssued a bullding permit for same and
stated his reasons in response to Mr^ Mcuatt's objecticns"
DJscussion followed regarding previous cases which the Zoning
Board had denied and bad subsequently been issued building
permits and how the board wanted to pursue this issue.
There seems to be no working relationship between the Inning
Board and the Building Inspector" Mr. Valanzola suggesLed
that perhaps the I)uilding Inspector should be present at the
Z9A's meeting*,
Motion made by Mr. Butler and seconded by Mrs. Cotton to
authorize the Clerk, Mr. Valanzola, to communicate wiLb Town
Counsel regarding Uurcon, Inc. in order to seek to rasFrain
pro�jress un til it can h r scer t i ne d iY the building �er iL
is legal and for the Cler1. t� exercise Uis judgment re s*me.
All in agreement, save Mr. Valanzola, who ahstained. '
After discussing possible solutions, motion made by Mr. '
Botler and soconded by Dr. Snho for Sharon to send momo to
the Town Manager requesting his presence at the next Z3A
� meeting to discuss/clarify the job description of the
bLti}Jing inspector and bis inier�-relationship with I30 .
Unanimously agreed..
