She asked that other members check the Zoning By -law to see if she is missing something or interpreting it wrong. Mr. Sullivan said the only specific reference he could find is incinerators, and that this is not an incinerator. Mr. McShane noted it is an industrial use on industrial land, but that it is not mentioned in our Zoning By -law and no specific provisions are made for a trash transfer station. He also stated they can produce odor, noise and rodents, and didn't want to see the Industrial Park destroyed. 2 Minutes of February 18, 1998 Board members discussed the pros and cons of a transfer station, including the revenue produced for the Town and the lowering of our trash disposal fees. Mr. McShane noted that the real problem is that the Weld administration has had a moratorium on trash facilities and people need to tell the State to find the right places and allow them. Mrs. Flynn stated that Mansfield already has enough and doesn't need this. Motion: To send a letter to Bert Cook as Zoning Enforcement Officer, pointing out that transfer stations are not dealt with in the Zoning By -law and, since they are not, is it allowed under present zoning even though the use is not specifically mentioned.
