easement; traffic and water issues, which Mr. Folkman said
were not yet resolved and requested another 30 days; a
sidewalk along Maple Street running toward Lewis Road; and
precautions that may be taken to protect the abbuters from
blasting damage and radon.
The abutters were concerned about possible damage to their
homes from the blasting and increased levels of radon
following the blasting. The blasting company will be required
to post a bond and provide proof of insurance prior to
beginning work. The board would like to get in touch with
counsel and the Fire Chief to find out what can be required of
the developer regarding blasting activity. The abbuters would
like to receive certified notification of blasting prior to
the start of construction.
Planner Bonds recommended the board do a site walk at the
proposed Eastfield site.
The public hearing will be continued until May 5, 1995 with an
extension of the Planning Board's deadline for decision until
