1. Meeting called to order at 7:40 P.M.
2. Street Acceptance Issues
Mr. Burke explained two letters had been received requesting
the reconsideration of the Planning Board's vote not to
support the acceptance of Megan's Way and Barnboard Road.
Motion: To reconsider supporting Megan's Way for acceptance.
(McClanahan- Annino)
Mr. Burke explained that the asphalt on Megan's Way
was done almost one year ago and there are no other
problems. Six opposed. FAILS.
Motion: To reconsider supporting Barnboard Road for
acceptance. (McClanahan- Annino)
Mr. Burke explained there have been no problems with
the roadway, but the wearing course of asphalt has not
been down for one year. Four opposed, two in favor.
FAILS.
The board discussed the acceptance of Whitetail Lane. Mr.
Burke explained that although the offsite work has yet to be
done, a funding source has been identified and the Board of
Selectmen have approved the improvement at the Otis
Street /School Street /Whitetail Lane intersection, Finally, a
problem with the elevation of the bottom of the drainage area
remains.
Clerk McClanahan stated that two lots remain unbuilt and the
Form Js (Release from Covenant) have been rescinded, which
should protect the town from any liability. Chairman Madan
responded by stating that once the road becomes a public way,
the Form J no longer matters.
Motion: To support Whitetail Lane for acceptance.
(Flynn - McClanahan) Six opposed. FAILS.
3. Adjournment
Motion: To adjourn at 7:50 P.M.
