a secondary access on Forbes Blvd. The site will be screened by vegetation. There will 1 be 404 parking
spaces. All utilities will be brought on site. There is a full mature buffer zone, although Stop and Shop
will be bringing in more landscaping. It has its own standards of excellence.
DEPARTMENT HEAD COMMENTS:
ENGINEERING AND WATER DEPARTMENT: Due to the proposed traffic, the main entrance
should be on Forbes Blvd. Water and Sewer are available on site.
(Planner Annino enters the meeting)
OFFICER LANCE LAWSON -TRAFFIC SAFETY: Feels that Chauncy St. (RTE.106) is
heavily traveled. Due to the potential traffic hazard the entrance should be on Forbes Blvd,
FIRE DEPARTMENT: The Fire Lane on site should be posted.
BOARD OF HEALTH: No Septic Allowed.
CONSERVATION COMMISSION: Must adhere to the Order of Conditions, concerned about
the water collection.
PLANNER CADDEN: Has concerns over pedestrian access.
CHAIRMAN MADAN: Would like to know if the area warrants traffic signals.
PLANNER ANNINO: Would like to see the landscape identified at the intersection. He doesn't
feel that 110 trees is a lot for 9 1/2 acres. He would like to see what landscape and buffer areas are being
preserved.
The representatives from Stop and Shop stated that the lighting for the facility will be 3/10"
candle, high pressure sodium ranging in color from light orange to clear. There will be a four foot fence
surrounding the wetland area, this Nvas a recommendation from Conservation Commission.

Atty. Robert Cutler - represented Ralph Penney and explained to the Planning Board that in 1989
on the conceptual Plan of Beaumont's Pond the closing of Old Maple Street was proposed.
PLANNER MCCLANAHAN: Asked Ralph Penney what lie wanted.
DIRECTOR BURKE: Stated that the idea was shown on a "conceptual" plan - therefore it wasn't
a formal plan and therefore there would have not been a formal vote.

Bill Morrison - 328 Maple Street, expressed that the Street should be closed because of the safety
issue, the burro causes visual problems.
