4. 8:30 P.M. - 5 -Lot Otis Street Residential Compound
Michael Trowbridge of Hutchins- Trowbridge Associates presented
the revisions made to the plan
Board Comments:
Planner Quinn - Opposed to building streets where driveways
are required, e.g. cape cod berm and 6" water main on Otis
Street
Planner Flynn - The cape cod berm is minor
At this time, the Planning Board discussed a six (6 ") inch
water main verses an eight (8 ") inch.
Planner Caponigro - With the number of houses, a six (6 ") inch
water main should be sufficient
Planner McClanahan - Opposed to an eight (8 ") inch water
main, but the cape cod berm may be helpful
Planner Flynn - If berm will help correct the drainage problem
in the area, would like to see cape cod berm. It may detract
from the natural ambiance of the area. Buffering at entrance.
Michael Trowbridge, applicant's engineer, stated that the
drainage system would work the same with or without the berm
The Planning Board discussed ownership of the residential
compound and when the open space documents would be submitted.
Public Comments:
John Stanovitch - 91 Otis Street - Drainage System
Arthur Stillings 7 Claire Avenue - Drainage, ownership of
compound parcels would like to have it resolved before the
special permit is granted
Janice Stillings - 7 Claire Avenue - Difference between a
regular street and the residential compound driveway.
Ken Kamens - conventional subdivision vs. residential compound
MOTION: For Planning Director Burke to draft a positive`_
decision with standard residential compound
boilerplate, including limits of clearing. Opposed
to the change in the water main size and the cape cod'
berm. It is` £he,intent16n of the Board not to vote
