HOME Consortium agreement
The Town of Mansfield belongs to a community group that helps to provide housing
assistance through the US Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Our participation in this program requires that the town sign a new Mutual Cooperative
Agreement for another three year period. This does not cost the town anything and helps
provide grants and assistance in area housing.
Selectman Kozlowski had questions about the program and as Selectman Annino has worked
with the program through his business he explained how it works to provide housing

assistance to low income/community homes. He is in favor of remaining a partner in this
program as it helps a lot of people.
Mr. Ross stated that we have used their services in the past and it has helped with
fulfilling low income housing development requirements. He is also quite familiar with the
program from working with them in the past.
Selectman Kozlowski would still like to have some of the Housing Authority or HOME
personnel in for a meeting to discuss the program. Mansfield is above the lO'/'o
requirement for low income housing but still may have need for the programs assistance.
