(Kozlowski/ Annino) 3:0 passes Executive session 6:30pm Separate minutes NESportservlcehearlng Clerk Annino read the public hearing notice into record, Motion: To open public hearing, (Moran/Kozlowski) 5:0 passes Bruce Montgomery, Comcast Center Manager, Atty, John Felter and NE Sportservice Manager of Record, Robin Anderson are present for meeting, Alteration of premises to wine and malt license at the Comcast Center, They would like to expand premises to include an area of apprx, 600 feet by 480 feet off the existing area. This would expand the width of the service area from 240 feet to 480 feet. Mr, Montgomery provided a brief explanation of how and why the licensee wants to expand alcohol service area, The expansion will be into an existing parking lot so the zoning requirements would not change. This extra space would help with shifting the stage to accommodate some concert sets, Selectman Dentino asked Mr. Montgomery questions about the existing parking lot spaces and if this expansion would cut into that number, Mr. Montgomery stated no, they have the capacity to use the same amount, They really do not want an expansion of service space but the flexibility to shift the area around. So the alcohol service area wouldn't be expanded to be larger and serve more patrons, it is so the service area can be moved to accommodate different set ups, Boord of Selectmen Minutes of January 11, 2012 Selectman Dentino stated that the service area requested is double of what they have. However, Mr. Montgomery stated that is not the intent of the proposed change. Selectman Moran asked if Mr. Montgomery would be amendable to changing the language of the request. Selectman Dentino is concerned about moving the stage due to noise issues. However, Mr. Montgomery stated that moving the stage further back would actually help with sound mitigation. After Mr. Montgomery's explanation of the changes Selectman Annino stated he understands what they are looking for. Selectman Kozlowski asked about the map provided for the expansion. It does not do a good job of showing the area currently and proposed. Nothing is marked. Selectman Moran understands why they want to use lot 10 and or 11. He just wants to see it marked better as well. He does not want to see the overall sq. ft (used) expanded. Chairman Aptowitz asked a few questions about alcohol service and Mr. Montgomery stated that everything stays the same, in just a different location. Bill Clemmey, Clemco 875 S.
