He is an engineer in the power industry, computer savvy and knows how to review technical drawings. Selectman Annino welcomed Mr. Rathbun to th meeting and stated he appreciated having him serve on the committee. His experience in engineering and as a resident that has gone before ZBA, will be helpful. Selectman Dentino also appreciates Mr. Rathb n coming to see the board and volunteer on the ZBA. Selectman Kozlowski asked Mr. Rathbun about his experiences with Zoning Boards. Mr. Rathbun had a horrible experience with th Norton ZBA however, he had a much better one with Mansfield. He needed a varia ce for a single family house and they listen carefully to his case. Selectman Moran disclosed that he went to hi h school with Mr. Rathbun. Even so, he is glad to see his apply and volunteer his service 0 the town. Chairman Aptowitz asked about Mr. Rathbun's rior experiences as well and thanked him for applying. Selectman Annino asked Mr. Rathbun's experie ce with the Planning Board and stated he is very particular about including them in decisio s as they work closely with the ZBA. Motion: To appoint Mr. Rathbun to a Jan 2014 ssociate vacancy. Selectman Moran asked if Mr. Paquin's backgr und would aid the committee's effort in keeping building costs down. Mr. Paquin feels o. Selectman Kozlowski asked Mr. Paquin if ther ahy one project he is interested in participating in. He stated no. Selectman Annino welcomed Mr. Paquin to the m~eting and stated he appreciated having him serve on the committee. His experience in commercial building will be helpful. Selectman Dentino also appreciates Mr. Paqui cpming to see the board and volunteer on the MBC. Motion: To appoint Mr. Paquin to the Jan 201 v~cancy. (Moran/Kozlowski) 5:0 passes Roderick Oreste, 107 Dean St. He is an attor ey and already serving on the Mansfield Board of Directors Housing Corp. However, h i~ interested in volunteering on the Planning Board as well. Mr. Oreste feels that his expe itnce with real estate law and ability to analyze and research aspects of law relevant 0 ,the Planning Board would be helpful. Selectman Moran asked if there was a partic lat' interest that Mr. Oreste is interested. No, not really, just wants to serve the town in a!way that interests him. Selectman Kozlowski thanked him for coming nd thinks it's great that he wants to serve on both committees'. Selectman Dentino asked about his attendanc ~t town meeting. Mr. Oreste admitted he hasn't attended but definitely will. I Selectman Annino also thanked him for applyi g and commended him for getting involved in the town. The dog Nicco was to be transf r ed to a canine center out of town and will not return to Mansfield. However Sel c man Dentino had a problem with the dog not being able to come back to his ho r even town. The issue is that the neighbors are uncomfortable and voic hat even if rehabbed they would still be afraid. .
