Olivier Kozlowski, William Ross, Town Manager

Vice Chairman George Dentino
License fee schedule discussion
The Board of Selectmen briefly discussed Mansfield's license fees vs. surrounding towns.
Some of the smaller, less utilized licenses such as a Fortune Teller license should be only
be $10 to cover administrative costs.
There was also a brief discussion of the legal definition of "club" in terms of liquor
establishments.
The board will revisit the review of this at a future meeting.
Denise Anderson
Denise Anderson is Specialist Corey Shea's mother and has been working with Congressman
Frank on getting a bill passed that would allow a parent to be buried (with their unmarried
child) in a military cemetery.
Ms. Anderson was just notified that the bill has passed through the house and the senate
and is sitting on the presidents desk, awaiting signature. She also received a call from
Governor Deval's office that the president will be in Boston later this month and would like
to meet her.
She is most grateful to the community for all their support since Corey's death in 2008
and wanted to publicly thank the Board of Selectmen and the town at large for all their
prayers and support.
Each board member thanked Ms. Anderson for the service that Corey provided to not only
the town but his country.

Audit Committee
Jack Goldberg and Jason Porter from the Audit Committee are present to discuss the
fY09 budget review. fY09 is the first year that the Audit Committee was in place so it
was slow starting up. However, now the process and ultimately the outcome is much better.
The accounting staff, John Stanbrook and Linda Darling had to put an extraordinary
amount of hard work into this process in addition to dealing with a financial software
transition. And now that the framework is in place it will make future audits much
smoother and more efficient.
Motion: To receive and approve the fY09 audit from the audit committee.
