Minutes of April 29, 2010
Present:
Chairman Baldwin, Vice Chairman Moran, Clerk Jess Aptowitz, Selectman
Levine, William Ross, Town Manager
Absent:
Selectman Dentino
Chairman Baldwin stated due to a legal advertisement mix-up the Board of Selectmen is
rescinding two alcohol licenses that were approved last night.
Motion: To rescind the transfer of an all alcohol retail license from Mansfield Variety and
Deli to GT Retail dba Wines and More. (Moran/ Aptowitz) 4:0 passes
Motion: To rescind the approval of a retail wine and malt license to Mansfield Deli.
(Levine/Moran) 4:0 passes
Joint meeting with .ConservationCominission
Lou Andrews, Leonard Flynn from NRT, Paul Boyden, Colin Caudwell, Derek House, Carol
Matthews from Conservation Commission and Elizabeth Leidhold, Conservation Agent are
present.
The Board of Selectmen had a couple of questions about the Conservation Commission
articles.
Article 40 is withdrawn
Article 41: To add the provisions of MA General Laws, Chapter 40, Section 8C to
conservation parcels.
Motion: To support. (Levine/Moran) 4:0 passes
Article 42: To transfer from the town to the Conservation Commission certain parcels of
land in the Great Woods.
Motion: To support. (Levine/ Aptowitz) 4:0 passes

Special town meetina warrants
Article 15: To allow the Conservation Commission to create a special account to accept
funds.
Motion: To support article 15. (Aptowitz/Levine) 4:0 passes
Article 16: Will be reworded and moved at town meeting.
Motion: Adjourn to executive session to discuss potential litigation. (Aptowitz/ Moran)
Roll Call: Chairman Baldwin aye, Vice Chairman Moran aye, Clerk Jess Aptowitz aye,
Selectman Levine aye. 4:0 passes
Open session resumed at 8:35pm for one item of business.
Motion: To reinstate the all alcohol retail sales license for Mansfield Variety and Deli.
(Moran/Levine) 4:0 passes

Motion: Adjourn meeting at 8:40pm (Moran) 4-0 Passes
