Present: Acting Chairman McCarter, Clerk Mahana, and Selectwoman Royle
John D'Agostino, Town Manager
Lee Azinheira, Town Engineer
Guests: Norton and Foxboro Water & Sewer Commissioners
The Town Engineer, Lee Azinheira, reported that DEP has changed its focus concerning
sewer treatment plant expansions in an effort to replenish watersheds and aquifers. They
are not eager to approve expansions. All three of the Town's Commissioners agreed to
delay their town -wide assessment of sewer line expansion until they know what DEP's
policy will be.
The Norton Water and Sewer Commissioners requested the Mansfield Board of
Selectmen extend the payment terms on their water and sewer bills from thirty days to
sixty days.
Motion: To amend the letters to Norton and Foxboro that the interest period on
water and sewer bills will be extended from thirty to sixty days.
