Executive Session Minutes
October 21, 1998
Present: Chairman Madan, Clerk McCarter, and Selectmen Mahana, Royle, and
Robinson
John D'Agostino, Town Manager
The purpose of this executive session was to discuss land values.
♦ Morse Land Taking Settlement
The Selectmen reaffirmed their position that they would not offer a settlement of
anymore than $420,000 to Mr. Morse.
♦ 12.46 Acres of Land on East Street
Town Manager D'Agostino stated the owner of the property, Phil Eramo, is willing to
sell the 12.46 acres of land behind the Robinson School to the Town for $62,200.
Selectwoman Royle noted that a 1994 appraisal of 19 acres of land, which includes the
above - mentioned 12.46 acres, values total 19 acres at only $38,000.
A majority of the Board was not in favor of purchasing the 12.46 parcel of land at a cost
of $62,200.
