JANUARY 25, 1995
Motion to go into executive session at 7:00 p.m. made by Selectman Douglas Ronald and
seconded by Selectman Ralph Penney.
Vote: Unanhnous.
Present: Chairman Amos Robinson, Selectmen Dianne Royle, Douglas Ronald, Joseph
Pasquale, Ralph Penney, and Town Manager William F. Williams.
Purpose of the executive session was a continuation of last week's discussion of Town
Manager Williams' performance evaluation and salary increase. Members of the Board
had a chance to look over the evaluation summary. Discussion of points raised in Town
Manager's memorandum of December 14, 1994 followed. Current salary and previous
salary increase was mentioned. General discussion of process of original negotiating of
contract followed. Discussion of buyback of vacation time and use of comp time
followed. Package of benefits currently afforded to Town Manager discussed. Discussion
of comparable salaries in surrounding towns followed. A survey compiled by the M.M.A.
of Town Manager salaries was presented and general discussion of survey followed.
Town Manager Williams and Secretary Eileen Ouellette left the executive session to allow
the Board at 7:30 p.m.
