1. The meeting was called to order at 3:00 P.M.
The topic of discussion during this meeting was the status
of Mansfield's water supply, specifically the safeness of
chlorine being added to it, use or overuse of certain wells,
capacity of the Cate Springs well, possibility of a volun-
tary water usage restriction guideline, water usage this
year compared to last year, manner in which chlorine is
deposited into the water supply, and the cause of the
presence of bacteria in the Town's water supply.
Clerk Ronald left the meeting at 4:00 P.M. prior to conclu-
sion of the discussion.
MOTION: To support Bob Swanson's recommendation of an
"odd /even day" voluntary water restriction
guideline to be in effect as soon as it is adver-
tised.
(Pasquale - Royle) All in favor. PASSES.
2. Purchase Orders
Purchase Order for the School Department INET System in the
amount of $14,971.91 and Purchase Orders for the Town INET
System, Train Station Cameras and Town Offices,
$20,571.75 and $7867.50 respectively.
MOTION: To approve the purchase orders.
(Pasquale - Royle) All in favor. PASSES.
Purchase Order for the Town Hall Roof on the Police Station
end for $6,800
MOTION: To approve the purchase order.
( Royle- Penney) All in favor. PASSES,

ICMA Policing Seminar
William Williams, Town Manager, requested a member of the
Board of Selectmen volunteer to attend an ICMA Community
Policing Workshop in Groton, Connecticut, on October 3 and
4. Selectman Royle stated that she would like to attend the
conference.
