empty tractor trailer trucks have been on his property for the past year and that there are no
liquids in them. Mr. Clemmey also stated that he notified all abutters of the public hearing.
Board of Selectmen Questions and Comments:

ber of trucks to be stored on site, time of day trucks will be parked on site, zoning compliance,
newness of tractor trailer trucks, if the area were the trucks will be fenced, grounding for
trucks when parked, provision to prevent spillage, types of flammable liquids to be carried in
the trucks, and placing a stipulation on the license that if a tractor trailer truck is stored over-
night full, the Fire Department will be notified.
Lt. Sarro requested that two stipulations listed in his memorandum dated June 1, 1994 be in-
cluded as restrictions.
Public Comments
Celeste Jones, 60 So. Walnut Street, asked if a stipulation could be added to the license
restricting the location of the parked trailers so they are kept away from the residential area
and asked how the abutters will know when the tanks are full or empty.
Selectman Royle asked what the distance is between the tractor trailers and the residential area.
Karl Clemmey responded that the distance is twenty -six hundred feet, Selectman Penney asked
if the location the tractor trailers are parked could be specified on the license.
William Regan, 41 Casa Drive, asked what the name of the company is that is handling the
tractor trailer trucks, if any dangerous or hazardous liquids wool([ be hauled in the trucks, and
suggested that the situation be monitored very carefully.
Discussion followed among the Board of Selectmen and Lt. Salto concerning limiting the types
of material being stored in the tanks to petroleum fuels and lubricating products, and request-
ing a letter from the company, R. J. Guerrera, stating the types of materials they transport.

Mike Healey, 18 Casa Drive, asked if the Mansfield Fire Department could handle an explo-
sion of six tractor trailers.
Celeste Jones, 60 So. Walnut Street, requested the Board request a letter from the company
transporting the material stating the material being transported and also asked if there would be
a chain reaction with all the cars on site if a tractor trailer exploded.
Sandra Levine, 20 Walnut Street, asked if the Town has an evacuation plan for the area if a
chemical leak or explosion should occur and stated that if the Town does, it would be advan-
tageous to give the plan to area residents. Lt. Sarro stated that he would bring this to the
Chief's attention tomorrow. Mrs. Levine also asked what would happen if violations do occur.
