He feels something must be done about it soon, and he said he thinks

on this problem. Selectman Mahana reminded the Board members that five
years ago he initiated the project with 128 Resource Recovery, but it
was never pursued. Selectman Levine believed the group had folded.
Chairman D'Onofrio felt the Town Manager should be directed to make the
landfill a high priority item for the new Town Engineer, and reminded

Rt. 495 and Rt. 95, by the State, stating that it can be seen piling up
along the sides of those roads. She said the State had been asked some
time ago to not use salt near Town wells, and she would like to have the
State DPW contacted regarding this again. It was suggested by the Chair-
man that a letter be sent simply reminding them of this, with the sug-
gestion that perhaps there had been a change of personnel who was not
aware of the Town's former request. It was also suggested that this item
and the underpass matter be covered in just one letter. The Town Manager
will take care of it.
